Over a year of work was celebrated on Friday, May 3, 2019, as the William Allen Construction Company officially dedicated the new dugouts for the baseball and softball fields. The dugouts, which were constructed with the assistance of the Butz Family of Companies, provide space and shelter for both home and away boys’ and girls’ teams. Students connected with various contractors and local businesses who donated supplies and services to complete the project.

As part of their management of this project, students from the William Allen Construction Company approached The Rider-Pool Foundation with a professional presentation and request for support. Along with other local funders, The Rider-Pool Foundation provided a grant for the costs of this renovation.

Edward F. Meehan, Executive Director of The Rider-Pool Foundation, was pleased to attend the dedication and acknowledge the leadership of Mr. Lee Butz to provide an innovative, practical learning opportunity for Allen High School students.
