The Rider-Pool Foundation Moves to 100% Proactive Grantmaking
The Rider-Pool Foundation has been responsive to community requests surrounding the arts, education, human service, and community development needs since its founding in 1957. Since 1996, The Foundation has provided more than $8M through more than 1,100 grants to community organizations. From 2014 to 2019, The Foundation Trustees have directed support through a proactive grant-making strategy. This type of approach has allowed for larger, more targeted efforts to address complex social challenges including housing, education and nutrition.
In 2018, more than 80% of available resources were focused through this proactive grant-making strategy. In 2019, the Trustees decided that moving forward, 100% of available resources will be directed in a proactive manner and have paused the annual application process. The Rider-Pool Foundation looks forward to continuing to work with and see the continued success of the many community organizations that improve the lives of those in the Lehigh Valley.
The Rider-Pool Foundation thanks the many partner agencies who have provided important programming, services, and support to Lehigh Valley residents throughout our 60+ year history.
